ACCEPTANCE. "I HOPE SO" OR I KNOW?"

BY NATURE PEOPLE ARE INCLINED TO LIMIT GOD'S GRACE AND THINK THEY MUST CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING TO THEIR ACCEPTANCE BY GOD. IT IS ALL TOO HUMAN TO THINK THAT GOD HAS DONE 9O% OF WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR SALVATION, BUT THAT WE MUST ALSO CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING-EVEN IF IT IS ONLY 10% . PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS WAY SAY THINGS LIKE: "YES, I WAS BAPTIZED AND ALL THAT, BUT HOW DO I KNOW THAT I HAVE DONE ENOUGH FOR GOD TO ACCEPT ME?  HOW CAN ANYONE KNOW? THEY ARE NOT SURE ABOUT SALVATION, AND CANNOT BE SURE AS THEY THINK THAT SALVATION IS IN PART A "DO IT YOURSELF" PROCESS.
WE KNOW THAT THE BIBLE SAYS THE FOLLOWING ABOUT OUR STATUS BEFORE GOD.. "BELOVED, WE ARE GOD'S CHILDREN NOW, ... ("JOHN 1 3:2. "THERE IS, THEREFORE, NOW NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS."
(ROMANS 8:1). " WHO SHALL BRING ANY CHARGE AGAINST GOD'S ELECT? IT IS GOD WHO JUSTIFIES ("ROMANS 8:33).
" I AM SURE THAT NEITHER DEATH, NOR LIFE, NOR ANGELS, NOR PRINCIPALITIES, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME, NOR POWERS, NOR HEIGHT, NOR DEPTH, NOR ANYTHING ELSE IN ALL CREATION, WILL BE ABLE TO SEPERATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD," ( ROMANS 8: 38,39.). LETS' LOOK AT TWO VIEWS DESCRIBED:  THE PERSON ON THE LEFT THINKS THAT THOUGH SHE HAS BEEN BAPTIZED, SHE MUST STRIVE TO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS  TO PERSUADE GOD TO ACCEPT HER. SHE IS NOT SURE IF SHE WILL MAKE IT TO HEAVEN.
THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL TELL US, HOWEVER, THAT GOD ACCEPTED US IN OUR BAPTISM. HE FREED US FROM THE WORRYING BONDAGE OF STRIVING TO MAKE OURSELVES ACCEPTABLE TO HIM THROUGH OUR GOOD DEEDS; THIS ATTITUDE IS BASICALLY ONE OF SELF-SERVICE. HE FREED US IN CHRIST TO SERVE HIM WITH JOY, TO BECOME WHAT WE ARE.
GOD'S DECISION TO ACCEPT US IS BASED ON HIS MERCIFUL KINDNESS IN CHRIST (GRACE). AND NOTHING ELSE.
HE IS NOT INFLUENCED BY :  1. THE AMOUNT OF WATER USED IN OUR BAPTISM OR THE MANNER IN WHICH WE COME INTO CONTACT WITH THAT WATER. HIS WORD OF PROMISE, SPOKEN TOGETHER WITH THE APPLICATION OF THE WATER, SAVES US.
OUR AGE AT BAPTISM. , DOES NOT MATTER. CHILDREN BY HIS GRACE, WE ARE GIVEN HIS POWER TO SAVE IS NOT AFFECTED BY OUR ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE GREAT THINGS HE DOES IN BAPTISM. OUR PERFORMANCE IN MAKING A DECISION FOR HIM AT BAPTISM. GOD MAKES A DECISION FOR US AND HE COMMITS HIMSELF TO US IN BAPTISM. SEE TITUS (3:4-7; 1 PETER 3:21). DECISION "THEOLOGY IS OUT"
IT'S GOD'S CALL! NOT OURS.
